Czestochowa is a City of over 760 - year history, located in the heart of southern Poland. The monastery of Jasna Gora is home to the miraculous 'Black Madonna', a Gothic painting of Our Lady, which after Rome, Lourdes and Mecca makes Czestochowa one of the most important pilgrimage destinations in the world today.

For ages the faithful catholics have believed that St. Luke the Evangelist himself painted the divine icon on a tabletop once used by the Holy Family. It is widely venerated and credited with many miracles, for example with saving the Jasna Gora monastery from the Swedish 17th century invasion. Our visit to the monastery includes the Miraculous Picture Chapel and the Basilica. Also, you can visit the 600th-Anniversary Museum, the Arsenal and the Treasury.
